As you continue to think intensely of your love for him, send that brilliance of love through your hands into his. In doing so, chant the following incantation…

(Say only once as you visualize the energy of earth and sky joining with in you)
Mother earth with golden light,
Sky above with whitest light,
Send me your brightest light,
As I feel my love for him this day this night.

(Repeat while concentrating on the visualization)
Feel my joy.
Feel my light.
Feel the love I have for you this day this night.

It seemed so Obvious when I found the Radical Faeries ..
that the RADICAL Idea was:
Subject/SUBJECT Consciousness...
and the powerful spaces that are Created by Men who are in that frame of mind...when they gather together and both Share AND Listen to each other share what is Most essential to their HEARTS...

Now after experiencing those powerful Spaces of Peer Fellowship and Mutual Healing... I have come to Marvel how something Sooooo Powerful has been Lost in many of those Spaces...

How does something that GREAT become almost the opposite? I Do Not know Really... bad mentoring I guess.

But I Digress..

I can not help but think now, as I look back... that the Men I found in those spaces... were DIVINE.
I think that whether they realized it or not at the time... (or even if I didn't) that we were all connecting on some Very Deep Level...
Soul to Soul... as Peers and EQUALS.

Meeting in that place where ONENESS (that has Fractured into the MANY) may experience it SELF.
where Singularity can experience the comfort and Joy of the multiplicity.

I think there are many out there, who have a Since of Self, that on some level sees itself as Divine....
but when it stops there and that same being, sees it self as the ONLY Divine... then what you have is Sociopathic.

It is Not until we recognize the divine in another (as well as Self)... that you reach the level that can be truly be thought of as Men's "Sex Magic"...

I have also learned that a part of this is Consent...
until you can gaze into the others eyes ... and Know that your Touch, Costs them Nothing... and that their touch, costs you Nothing... and that together you are both MORE than you were apart... it is is NOT Magic...

Telling another, that you trust them to touch you with Love and Respect... that you trust yourself to touch them with Love and Respect...

that is the First Step toward true Sex Magic...

Struggles between "sex" and "intimacy"

Greetings everyone. I don't know that this is 100% the right "tribe" for this topic, but I feel that it's about creating the magick that can happen with gay sex (or any sex for that matter), if we can get beyond a few issues) I hope that I can express some hurdles/challenges I have been facing and hear your thoughts and experiences as they relate.

Let me give you some background:
1 - I have a life-partner of 8.5 years. We have always expressed having an open relationship, but have recently begun to define what that means, as well as what "life-partner" means (more on all of that later)

2 - I believe that sex is sex. Everyone does it (or should). There is a natural physical need for that form of "plugging-in" to another human being.

3 - I've been working to show that we as men (and particularly gay men) can express intimacy, affection and nurturing touch without it leading to sex and "getting off".

4 - I have been convoluting #2 & #3, by saying that if a group is gathered with the INTENTION of just expressing nurturing physical touch and it naturally progresses to something more sexual, that's OK, as long as it's a natural progression and not that one person is controlling the energy or forcing the issue to "get-off". It's about the connection and not the "release".

On top of all of that, I've been putting myself in this space where I am the "facilitator" who "should" monitor this balance, when I really just want to be touched, but when it starts to lead to something more sexual, I remind myself that I'm supposed to be maintaining the "safe space" for others, so I shouldn't go there. But when everyone else goes there, I begin to go to a negative space in MY being where I "remind myself" (or reinforce that negative thought pattern) that I'm ugly, fat, no one wants to touch me and I don't deserve to be touched. All of which is not grounded in reality.

Furthermore, I feel like items #2 & #3 happen on different planes or levels of consciousness or awareness. I think most people are NOT developed enough in their awareness to realize the different levels and can easily shut one off or switch from one to the other without the conscience knowledge that they are doing so. I *feel* that my awareness is developed in a manner that I cannot just negate one or the other.

All of this leads me to a struggle with sex, intimacy and self-esteem and self-worth.

Thoughts? Comments? Questions? Concerns? Advice? Recommendations?

Parchments and magick

Hi folks, thought I would post this on here, just in case anyone may find it of interest, as I make here in the Celtic land of Wales, parchment papers for ritual, spells and magick. These are not the parchment papers you find in shops today that can easily go through a printer.. no, these are REAL parchments, that would have been common in the Middle Ages here in England/Wales & Scotland.

The parchments are all hand made byself, using the traditional Celtic Welsh dye method; followed by baking the parchments in a clay oven. The parchments are then allowed to air-dry and to complete the process, they are smoked over Oak charcoals and scorched using flint. All parchment papers are roughly A4 size. These parchment papers are unique, in that they smell wonderful, have the feel and depth of traditional Olde parchment paper. They are great to use to write spells on, or the details of a magick rite/ritual you are undertaking. They also make fab' pages to make a Book of Shadows out of.

I've got a tantra partner.

I've met a most interesting straight man who has been practicing tantric exercises for a long time by himself. He has, in his words, "become enamoured" with me and I have to say, I with him. We meet each other on many levels. He wished to try some of the meditiations and pranayana excercises with me. So sat facing each other and meditated on the breath along the spine and then we moved closer so our toes were touching and we imagined that our breath was entering and circulating in the other person so that we created a circle. He then wanted to embrace me and so we stood and held each other for a long time. He wishes to continue this work with me once a week. I imagine it will grow into more intimacy. Recognizing Hoodoo Spirits

Greetings. For those of you that have worked with Hoodoo spirits, how do you recognize them from other spirits? I picked up Michael Berteaux's book on Voudon Gnostic Workbook the other day and was reading some of the initial rituals. Oddly enough, before I did any of the rituals, I had the strangest dream after reading the first chapter. In this dream, people from various gay sex clubs I frequent took me on a guided tour of this huge mansion. I was really excited. In knowing what these guys were into, I thought they were taking me to a major orgy. Contratry to my expectations, the tour of the mansion turned out to be a tour of a very large school of occult arts filled with many classes of various specialties. Needless to say, they were happy to see me and hoped that I would come back and stay a while.

My question to you would be, how do I know if these were friendly Hoodoo spirits welcoming me to Berteaux's book on Voudon? How can I tell Hoodoo spirits from manifestions of my own psychology?

Well, in a week here I will done with my college courses for the summer, I will out of my lease agreement with the guys I am staying with here in Springfield. Yet I have no idea what I am going to do or where for that matter. What I do know, that I no direct interest in going directly back to the Lake of the Ozarks area where I have lived with my ex trying to be friends, I have no obligations to be anywhere. I do need to go some where new and clear my head, cause I need to find a new avenue of some kind, cause all the roads I seem to know have shown that they are leading me no where. I figured with no idea of what I am going to do, to give my self some kind of option, I would allow the opportunity to seek a perspective with help with a new friend, perhaps one on here. Between the Worlds

For those of you that don't know about this gay pagan event, it is September 11 - 16, info at www.betweentheworlds.org
This event is in it's 6th or 7th year and is near Athens, Ohio. Last year had about 100 men. The place that hosts us has an event next month called Pagan Spirit Gathering that brings in about 1500 pagans, so we'll have lots of room.
The cost to attend BTW is $85 per person until June 30, 2007 and $100 per person from July 1 - August 17, 2007
They have hot showers, porto potties (1 flush toilet near the showers) and Caffina's, the roof covered cafe/stage area. They also have a meal plan for around $100 that was really fantastic last year. It helps with people traveling from all over not having to pack stoves
and figure out where to get food.
Speaking of which, we have people flying in from all over the United States (and will include some from Canada this year).
City Pagans have figured out how to pack for airplanes for this trip, so it is really not that hard to attend.
There's about 3 workshops going on at the same time 2 - 3 times a day. Usually 2 - 3 rituals at night and a sacred fire as well as a drumming fire for impromtu drumming, dancing and chanting.
it's similar to other Pagan festivals, except smaller and only men (occationally there will be women working Caffina's but only men can register for the actual event)
The workshop I gave last year and might do again this year is called 'Spead 'em Boy'. lol - It's all about Tarot Spreads
Christopher Penczak usually does a workshop or two and we've had workshops on polyamorous relationships and one on sex magick. We've had workshops on Dionysus, Enochian rites, Runes, beer making, herbs, etc.
Attendees will be Eclectic, Gardnarian, Minoan, Heathen, Egyptian, Druid, Wiccan, Shamen and a dozen other paths I haven't named.

Vernal Equinox: Tuesday March 20th 2007@ 8:07 pm est

The vernal equinox, the world is poised on the brink, suspended between the cold months and the new warmth of the growing season. The world is coming alive with green shoots and animals seeking mates. Ostara is one of the Lesser Sabbats, usually celebrated anywhere from March 19th to 21st. Some celebrated on the fixed date of March 25 (Lady Day), while others celebrate on the next full moon (a time of increased births). While the equinox is a solar holiday, Eostre is a lunar goddess. This may be viewed as symbolic of the goddess (the moon) and the god (the sun) coming together in completion. Other names by which this Sabbat may be known are Oestara, Esther, Eostre's Day, the Rite of Eostre or Rites of Spring, Alban Eilir, Festival of the Trees, and the Bacchanalia. The Christian holiday of Easter is determined as the first Sunday after the first Full Moon after the Vernal Equinox.

According to the Venerable Bede (673-735), the Anglo-Saxons called the fourth month "Esturmonath" for the goddess Eostra. Her festival became the celebration of Christ's resurrection when Anglo-Saxon and German peoples were converted to Christianity. While English and German Christians still attach the name of Eostra to their most sacred holiday (Easter or Ostern), other European languages base the name on the Hebrew word "pasah," to pass over, reflecting the Christian holiday's Biblical connection with the Jewish Passover.

All cultures living in temperate climates celebrate the coming of spring with rituals and festivals. This was one of the most important of spring festivals among pre-Christian Germanic tribes, dedicated to the goddess Ostara, a goddess associated with the "east" and thus "dawn" and "morning light." Ostara is a time to celebrate the renewal and rebirth of Nature herself, and the coming Summer. Light and darkness are in balance, as are masculine and feminine energy, yin and yang. Ostara is a fertility festival celebrating the rebirth of the God and the awakening of life from the Earth. Some Wiccan traditions worship the Green Goddess and the Lord of the Greenwood.

The Spring-cleaning tradition derived from the old witches who engaged in a cleansing each spring followed by setting up a hedge of protection. All motions involving scrubbing of stains or hand rubbing the floors should be done "clockwise." This custom aids in filling the home with good energy for growth. Another Spring tradition for ancient pagans and magicians was to dig a small trench around the outer perimeter of their home. At each quarter they would bury an egg. A modern practitioner might also add iron, old rusty nails, metal keys, old razor blades, pins and needles or witch bottles filled with the above items to diffuse magical attacks and spiritual negativity. (If you are unable to dig a perimeter, you can improvise by placing iron keys above your door, and pentacles and sigils drawn on pewter or parchment paper under your carpet or floorboards.

As a time of cleansing and renewal, Ostara is an excellent time to begin some new project. It is an excellent month for prosperity rituals or rituals that have anything to do with growth. Spells for improving communications, fertility, and abundance are especially strong at this time. Some Pagan customs include ringing bells and lighting new fires at dawn for cures, renewed life, and protection of the crops. A common belief in nineteenth century Germany touted the curative properties of water drawn early on Easter morning. One nearly universal craft is decorating hard-boiled eggs.

Eggs have long been a symbol of rebirth. They have been found among the grave goods of Anglo-Saxons, within the tombs of the Egyptians, and were placed on the fresh graves of the deceased Greeks. In ancient time, eggs were gathered for use in the creation of talismans and ritually eaten. The gathering of different colored eggs from the nests of a variety of birds has given rise to two traditions still observed today, the Easter egg hunt and coloring eggs in imitation of the various pastel colors of wild birds. Some believed that humankind was inspired by watching birds weave nests to begin weaving the first baskets. This is perhaps the origin of the association between colored Easter eggs and Easter baskets.

The custom of coloring eggs seems to be limited to the Germanic countries, Slavic countries, and America. In Scotland and Ireland, the custom is virtually unknown. Each spring in Germany, bakery windows are filled with elaborately painted eggs. Eggs are also hung from flowering branches to make "egg trees." Easter is celebrated in Germany more enthusiastically than it is anywhere else in the world with decorations up a good month before the festival. There are parties, egg hunts, and other celebrations weeks in advance of Easter itself.

In many places, it is traditional to keep Easter eggs or shells all year to ward the family and cattle against harm. They are also used specifically as a charm against hail and lightning. For this reason, great care and thought goes into the creation of egg decorations, egg-trees, boiled and decorated eggs for eating, and hare cakes.

Eostre is a goddess of the moon, an ancient measurer of time. The lunar month of 28 days gives us thirteen periods in 364 days, equivalent to the solar year. The hare, though viewed as a symbol of fertility, is also a symbol of the moon. Ixchel, the Mayan Goddess of the moon, midwifery and weaving, has a rabbit totem. Mexican panels of 600-900 AD show her giving birth to and suckling a rabbit, and another shows the rabbit representing phases of the moon.

The Egyptians called the hare Un, which means open, to open, and the opener. The month of April, the first month of the spring season, comes from the Latin “to open.” Un also means period of time. The hare as "opener" symbolizes the New Year at Easter, and fertility and the beginning of new life within the young. Since the hare can sleep with its eyes open, the Romans equated it with vigilance and believed that rabbits watched over everything. According to one story, Buddha placed the rabbit in the moon after it voluntarily gave itself as food for one of Buddha's hungry friends. In another, a rabbit jumped into a fire to feed a hungry Indra and out of gratitude, Indra placed the rabbit in the moon. Rabbits were significant totem animals however and eating them was prohibited in Britain and Egypt. A Scottish superstition suggested that eating rabbit was equivalent to eating one's grandmother.

In Asian myth, rabbits and the moon are virtually identical. The Rabbit in the Moon sweeps its surface clean with bound horsetails according to Japanese stories. The rabbit pounds rice into flour, making mochi which means both rice flour and full moon. The Sanskrit word, cacadharas also means both moon, and "that which carries the hare."

Rabbits also represent immortality and vitality. Pliny the Elder stated that rabbit meat enhanced one's beauty and radiance for a week afterwards, and Chinese myth believed rabbit meat was essential for vitality. According to Chinese myth, the rabbit is a symbol of longevity. Its fur turns white at age 100 and blue at 500. In Eastern Asian myth, rabbits created an elixir of immortality. The Algonquin trickster rabbit, Manabozho, is thought to embody all life-giving energy.

In Greece, live rabbits were popular love gifts, indicating sexual intentions. European wedded couples in the Middle Ages exchanged rabbit-shaped rings. Rabbit's popularity as a sex charm or fertility totem is related to its' natural cycle. A rabbit's gestation period is approximately one month, and it tends to be the first animal to give birth in the springtime, continuing to have litters of kits during the year. In Asian folklore, a rabbit may become pregnant simply by staring at a full moon, licking a male rabbit's fur under a full moon, or running across a moon-lit water's surface.

Does Anyone Feel a Change?

Does anyone else feel a change or shift today? I feel "lighter," more focused, like a weight has been lifted. I woke up like this and it's stayed with me all day. I feel like nothing can bring me down (emotionally and mentally). I even feel better physically than I have in months, and it's been cold, rainy and dark all day.

Has anyone else noticed this? It just so happens today is the actual Winter Solstice. Coincidence?

A Gay Sex Magic Rite

The Cradle/Grave

This is a rite of queer sex magic, taught to me by Freyr, the Lord of the Forest, also known as He Who Tresses Her Hair. I have modified and expanded some of the imagery I experienced in the original trance with him, as some of it didn't "translate" into words very well. I've also added a bit of a Chaos-magick bent to the rite, which was originally more primal in feeling. It is to be performed with a trusted partner, naked and unashamed.

Fill a chalice, ritual bowl or cup with steaming water and chamomile. One partner is the invoker of the Moon/Mother -- the Veiled One. The other, the supplicant whose Will is to be enacted, and who must never speak from the start to the end of the rite, is the Silent One.

The invoker starts by kissing the supplicant until he relaxes into his arms. The Silent One is sat or layed down, so he is facing North, the place of manifestation. The invoker casts a circle:

E: The Mother is in the palaces of pleasure.
S: The Mother is in the passion of Life and Death.
W: The Mother is in the Waters of the Serpent where the Kraken rises.
N: The Mother is in the Crown of the North.

Face North and call down the Moon as Mother, call her as Ceridwen. Call her as the Mother-Womb and the Mother-Grave. She is a Crucible of Power, bubbling over with Light:

"By the Power of 13 times 13, I draw down the Moon."

The invoker feels Her enter into him, through his forehead or mouth, and dawns the Veil. He feels the Moon shining in his heart, with nine bright stars surrounding it, turning clockwise. He slides in beind the supplicant, and strokes the Silent One's hair, and begins to carress him, imagining the Light of the Moon being rubbed into his skin, and the flesh of the Silent One to begin to glow as does the Moon. He imagines the supplicant's desire coming to pass, becoming his Will, leaving its track upon the Ground of Being, re-shaping reality.

The Silent One begins to work up his passion, carressing himself and taking the first steps on the journey to the edge of orgasm.

The Veiled One dedicates the rite:

O Lady of the Cauldron,
the Fire In the Mirror,
may your enchantments
pass to this one;
May he shine with his Desire,
as bright as you in this time of darkness.
This night he shall pass through the Misty Veil,
cradled in the arms of His Mother --
eternally the Womb and the Grave --
and be reborn through his Desire:
Light the Way,
O Eye of the Heavens!
Carry this power,
O Ship of the Night!
So Must It Be!

The invoker may use hands or a white or violet rope to tighten around the neck of the supplicant, using light asphixiation to alter his consciousness. The Invoker may also help the supplicant to begin to reach orgasm. The Silent One must not utter a sound, but for his breath.
